Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat Mineral Research Industrial Consultancy Society (GMRICS) to establish a long-term partnership in research, education, and training. The collaboration aims to promote joint research and consultancy in areas such as geology, mineral engineering, metallurgy, and critical minerals, aligned with national priorities. Recognised as a Centre of Excellence under the Critical Minerals Mission of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, IIT Roorkee will provide academic and technical expertise for projects related to mineral exploration, mining, and beneficiation, including collaborative initiatives in Gujarat through mutually agreed arrangements.

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) and the University of Lausanne (UNIL), Switzerland, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic cooperation in teaching and research. As per the agreed terms, the MoU facilitates faculty and student exchanges, joint research initiatives, and academic interactions in areas of mutual interest, including Himalayan Studies, water technology, energy and environment, biology and biotechnology, and management, thereby strengthening international academic collaboration.
